CHAPTER-1:1:25 (MID FALL)-DAY-25
Eli and Ami Jankowsky were both up fairly late that morning and it was a dull rainy day they woke up to.They had enough time to use the washroom and tend to their garden even though it was just one plant in a planter bowl.They had time to eat breakfast and study gardening before the morning was shot.They both had to make their plans for the coming winter since fall was getting close to being over and winter was going to arrive very soon.
They made the decision to focus on getting to work on time and make sure they got to bed early enough to have more time before work to do other things like studying and gaining skills.
It was still raining when they got ready for work and decided to stop to have juice boxes from their fridge before leaving for work so they wouldn't have to eat dinner after work when they'd just want to get to sleep.It was already nearing 3PM and they were trying to get ready to leave.
They wanted to not leave for work starving and end up too hungry to go straight to bed after work when they got home at 7PM.They both remembered how it had been in the old days when they slaved away for a whole day just to have enough to eat so they didn't starve to death.It wasn't the ideal situation because they really were slowly starving to death.
It was already 3:30 in the afternoon by the time they were rushing out the door to get to work and earn the day's pay.It was still raining though the rain would ease up by5:30 in the evening and would've stopped by 6PM.They were each earning about 100$ every day until a raise or promotion changed that and they would earn even more each day.
They worked very hard though they were tired and had wanted to skip work to get to bed early that night.They went to work instead because they would still be able to get to bed when they got home after work.They were finished their work shifts by 7PM and rushed to get home so they could get to bed.
Eli got home before Ami arrived and was in bed before 7:30 though Ami ended up getting into bed just after 7:30 when he arrived home for the night.
