 CHAPTER-1:1:31 (FIRST WINTER)-PART-1 EARLY  WINTER

It was Tuesday and the first day of winter in the town of Glen Harbor and it had been raining hard overnight and was still raining in the morning when the locals were all starting to get up for the day. They would have to take turns using the washrooms in their homes and eating breakfast as they got ready for the day.The first day of winter also looked very bleak and foggy when the rain did finally start to let up and it was still a very gloomy day.
Cory and Angel Frankovitch got a fancy new tent for using in travel around town in case they might want to camp out overnight sometimes. They decided they might want to test it out at home for a while to make sure they could use it.They would have to tend to their daily chores before trying the tent out to see if it would work out for them like they hoped it would.
It was starting to look like the coming winter might actually be a mild winter though that could change in coming years with future winters as the town grew and got established.Winter was just getting started and they already hoped it would be mild for their first year.It also meant that it would be 1661 when the next spring arrived and they'd also be closer to that day when they'd finally be ready to start to have babies and get into family life.
Cory and Angel Frankovitch ended up testing the tent out with a little woohoo though there would be no baby from it at that time because they used birth control options to make sure they didn't start a baby.It was a great way to test out their tent before having to use it anywhere to make sure they would actually like it.The rain had stopped and it cleared up after full daylight.
The next four days would be passing by and they kept waiting for it to get very cold and begin to snow though it would become clear that that might not happen because it was too mild for snow that winter. They wanted to see it get colder and everybody was sticking to their daily routines of getting up early to get some other daily activities done before having to get to work most days.
Eli and Ami Jankowsky were also having to make their own adjustments to the arrival of the first winter they'd see in Glen Harbor. They were also getting into keeping their routines of getting up early and studying skills before tending to their plants and later getting ready for work on the weekdays when they would actually have work right from Monday to Friday each week.
The residents all knew that winter would eventually pass by and they would start looking for spring to finally arrive and allow shipments to arrive and gardens to start growing again. They would have to survive the rest of winter first and it was still only early winter with more to come. The town residents were all dressed right for the milder winter conditions they ended up finding they'd be getting that winter. The nights were getting cold enough for frost to be covering the ground each night though it was often mild enough that it thawed out each morning and stayed thawed for the day.
Eli and Ami were still making sure to get to work on the days when they did have work and getting to bed early each night even if they didn't have work the next day.It was getting cold at night and they were getting frost on the ground each night and it didn't always thaw out the next day in the morning. It was cold enough to need outerwear though it was lighter because there was no snow.
The Glen Harbor residents were all still waiting for snow and worried about starting any major construction to add to their houses in case it did start snowing heavily and put a stop to the build before it was finished.Nobody wanted to get stuck with a few half-built walls and no complete addition because of snow.
The Glen Harbor residents were making sure they all got to work at their jobs every day and that they weren't late if that could be avoided. It would often remain so cold the frost stayed on the ground all day and never would thaw out most days.It was turning out to be a cold winter though it was also very dry with there being day with fog.
They were all spending time studying skills on their iPads and trying to manage to get through the boring winter days when they couldn't grow anything because it was too cold and their houses were too small. They also wanted to make sure their food did last until spring arrived and there could be new shipments and warmer weather allowed things to grow.
It had been three days into winter and they were already trying to be careful of their perishable supplies to make sure that didn't go bad without being used up.They were all hoping that it would either start snowing soon or that it would just simply be a dry winter so they could start building new additions onto their houses without worrying about snow stopping construction.
Eli and Ami were both hoping to be able to add a room to their house and wouldn't mind it being a dry winter because they were anxious to get their house expanded before the winter was over. The Frankovitch family both were amazed that they'd survived five days of winter.
