               CHAPTER-49-SG-Y-2-S-2-SUMMER-1661

Summer arrived in the town of Glen Harbor the next morning and the residents were all waking up early that morning to greet the new season. It was expected to get very hot and sunny later on that first day of the season and to be a hot summer for that year.Rudy Wagner was still in the middle of trying to get her house built so she'd have shelter and not be sleeping outdoors anymore.
Rudy had kitchen gear set up outside and was working on getting her house built. She had a few plants to tend to every day and they growing nicely for her.It was likely that new arrivals could come at any time though winter would be the exception because it would be impossible to travel later in that season. That would explain why the town's residents might eat spoiled food sometimes.
The residents who had houses would likely be looking to add onto their houses and one still had a house to finish building. It was happening in two families and they both had work to finish on their homes.Rudy was just building the first part of her house while the Jankowskys were building another addition onto their house. It was in preparation for the baby they were hoping to have soon.
The Glen Harbor residents were also taking time out some days to enjoy themselves at the local pool whenever they could. It was great that their pool was an indoor one and could be used in all seasons. It was going to get small improvements made over time as new things came available to the town. The plan was to make it a family venue and to make it appeal to all age groups equally.
Rudy had a big day when she finally managed to get the last of the construction of her house finished though there was no indoor bathroom yet.It had taken her most of the first few days of summer to get that house done and be moving into the house. It was something she'd wanted done before fall got started and the wet weather came along.Other families had room additions to get built too.
Eli and Ami Jankowsky got up to find leftovers in the fridge had gone bad and ended up eating the spoiled food to get it cleaned out of the fridge. They didn't want any food wasted because they needed the money for the framing and drywall for the new addition on their house. It was to be a living area so they could have that in their house and be able to have room for the baby.
The building had gone on for most of the early part of summer and they finally got it finished by mid summer. There had been a few more days passing by as the residents were all busy getting additions built or getting settled into their houses. The summer had been mostly dry sunny weather so far and the odd day with a little rain. They were trying to get themselves ready for fall.
There was more for the Jankowskys to do after building the new addition for their house because it was empty and unfurnished. They would have to just save their money up to buy furnishings for the new room and let it sit empty until they could afford the new stuff. The other town residents were also getting money saved up for their new additions and trying to get those built.
The Frankovitch family got rudely woken up in the night after their burglar alarm went off in the night when an outlaw tried to break into their house and set the alarm off just walking onto the property. The local sheriff came to the property and busted the outlaw for their crime. It was a drifter not from the area looking for a quick opportunity to grab something for some quick cash.
The next few days of summer brought some big changes to the town of Glen Harbor like more progress on their second library which was to become the forst school in town and the Frankovitch family started building a new room on their house in the front of the home.Their plan was to use it as a second bedroom in their house and to start planning for their family and their first child.
There were more changes in town over that period of time as the town made some small changes to the pool and the new library they were getting built. They intended to not add a school right away since not everybody would want to send their kids to school and some might need every bit of help they could get from family.
It was now into late summer in Glen Harbor and the locals had new additions finished and the Frankovitch family had wanted to sleep in their new bedroom after building it.It was time to starte getting ready for fall and to prepare for winter which was right after fall. The town was getting extra supply shipments in to stock up the store for when locals ran out of ingredients for cooking.
There was a new interest in Glen Harbor with locals trying to get pregnant in haystacks like Eli and Ami Jankowsky had recently started doing that summer. They'd tried for a baby a few times though Eli still wasn't pregnant because it wasn't very easy to get pregnant as a young adult since they aren't usually ready for the baby and it wasn't unusual for them be unable to have more.
The town residents were all having to start getting dressed warmer for fall since it was starting to get colder at night and it only got hot in the day.Rudy was about to start working on getting a new room built for the washroom so it could finally be in a seperate room instead of being open to the rest of the house. She though she might end up taking in roommates.
Eli and Ami had been at it again with another extension to their house to extend it further to the back so they could built a second bedroom. The town was also getting the new library fitted out and getting ready for new arrivals. The summer had been very exciting and full of changes around town like addtions on houses of town residents and new buildings being built for the town.
The residents were expected to make use of the new buildings and to enjoy the benefits of the new library in town.It was there to give the locals a place to come to work on skills and even local toddlers could be helped there to learn the toddler skills.
