 CHAPTER-32-1:1:36 (FIRST WINTER) -PART-2-MID WINTER

Mid-winter arrived in Glen harbor and the residents were still waiting to see if there would be any snow at all that winter since they'd been told to expect that there could be snow in the winters near Glen Harbor most winters and with some snowless winters. Those weren't expected to be very common though since it was a colder climate and not exactly tropical like further south.
The Frankovitch family had planter boxes full of garden plants to tend to every day and it was mid-winter already and the plants were still not dormant like they would've been if they'd been planted outside. The residents of Glen Harbor were still waiting to see of there'd be any snow at all that winter because they'd been told to expect it might snow in the winter.
Cory and Angel Ivanovitch ended up often having to rush out to work on the days they had work because they sometimes started getting ready at the last minute. It was starting to look as though it was going to be a dry and snowless winter that year and they were hoping the next winter might end up having some snow to make up for the first one though they were grateful for the change.
They did get a few days with fog rolling in and it made it look very dull and gloomy outside on those days with fog.It was mostly sunny out though and they were managing to keep themselves very busy though the winter knowing that shipments of supplies might not arrive until late spring because the harbors up north might be socked in by pack ice until mid-spring when it finally broke up.
The residents of Glen Harbor had been dealing with short days and early nightfalls over the next few days as they moved through mid-winter.They were getting frost and it often stayed there all day and it would get colder overnight and make the frost heavier though it got lighter in the daytime hours with the sun being up and it being warmer because of the daylight though it was still cooling off at night.
They were getting bills twice a week and the ground was still getting covered with frost every night and not always thawing out during the day so it would be frosty all day and remain that way overnight. The families were gaining skills every day and the town pool was getting closer to being built every day as it got closer to late winter. The residents hoped to see the end of winter after about seven days.
The town's new pool was finished enough to be opened during the days and closed at nights to finish the final stages of adding furnishings when it was closed overnight. The residents of the town were also starting to suffer the first signs of something called cabin fever which was common in the later part of winter and caused them to start wanting badly to extend houses and to move house.
The locals living there now were all lucky to have larger lots which meant they only had to wait until spring to start building onto their tiny houses while anybody on a tiny lot would have to wait for the spring thaw to see if there'd be any new construction of larger homes though they'd have to wait for construction to be completed and hope that the town had been building bigger homes.
Cory and Angel Frankovitch were taking care of the chores every day so far that winter though there still wasn't any snow and they started to think there might not be any snow at all that winter.Their leftovers in the fridge were all starting to get close to going bad and that would mean having to start eating up the spoiled leftovers first and hope the other ones didn't spoil before getting eaten.
Eli and Ami Jankowsky decided to check out the newly completed pool one day near the end of mid-winter and managed to have fun swimming though it was winter because the pool was indoors. This meant swimming could be done in any season at any time of the year and even in a snowstorm or a blizzard though they might not be going home that night if there was a blizzard warning out.
Cory and Angel were still sticking to their daily routines and getting through the days as they got closer to the last part of winter. The town's residents were all grateful to finally be entering the last five days of winter and hoping to make it to spring after those days.
