GLEN HARBOR LEGACY-CHAPTER-1:1:18 (EARLY FALL)

                    CHAPTER-1:1:18 (EARLY FALL)-DAY-18

There was construction being done on another lot in Glen Harbor while the Jankowskys were busy building their own house and struggling to get it done before fall began to set in.The construction crews working on the other house were also anxious to get done with building because the new family was to be arriving any day now and winter would come after fall.Nobody wanted to get caught short with an unfinished and unlivable house as winter got started.
The town was trying to get itself ready for the new arrivals with new community lots to visit and a hew house for the new family arriving any day.The new house was on a larger lot near Garden Market.
Cory Frankovitch was born in 1647 to a very poor Russian Gypsy family and her best friend Angel Novak was born just after her and they both grew up together as best friends living with very poor families who were struggling with the famine and they were starving like so many others were with the continuing crop failures and droughts.
Their families were homeless and they both grew up without having steady homes and never went to school because they couldn't attend if they were homeless. The only way they could've gone to school was if their parents had gone into a workhouse with their children and stayed there.
Cory and Angel grew up and got married shortly after both had turned nine in the year of 1656 in the winter of that year. They spent the next three years traveling around in Europe trying to find a place where they could get work to earn a decent living and be able to afford to eat well and have a place to live.It was just as hard in each new place as it was in the last place they tried.
They started getting weakened and sickly and had to get help in 1660 and were given the brutal choices of either going into slavery in a harsh workhouse or getting put on a colony ship to be shipped to North America to settle in a colony there.
Cory and Angel Frankovitch both decided to get shipped to the new North American colony and dropped off in Glen Harbor instead of being in the workhouse.Their journey ended up being dangerous and it was scary for them being on board a tiny wooden sailing ship to travel to where the new life was waiting for them and there'd be a new house.
Cory and Angel Frankovitch finally arrived in early fall and got put ashore to head for the colonial town hall to report that they'd arrived safely and to find out where their new home was located. They were told to head back to the house on the large lot near to town hall and that was theirs.
Cory and Angel finally saw the house they were to live in and they were anxious and very excited by the size of the lot though the small size of the house didn't even matter to them and it didn't bother them at all since they could extend it if they needed to.
They both ended up having to stop and try to work on a few skills they needed before they could do anything else like gardening or applying for the part-time jobs they would need to hold until they'd saved up enough to start a family. They both headed for the local library to study gardening so they could learn it faster and get the skill up much faster. It took a few hours to get the skill level up.
They were both stopping to work on the garden at Garden Market on the way home from their study session at the library in the early afternoon when they stopped to apply for their jobs.
Cory wanted them to get their skills up higher and to be able to earn more money than their part-time jobs would earn every day to save up for the child faster. She was working on the smaller produce while Angel worked on the fruit tree produce to get everything harvested. They did manage to get the harvesting done and were ready to head home and start studying and planting their garden in the house since it was very close to winter weather.
Angel spent most of the later part of the afternoon studying skills and Cory spent some of that time getting produce planted into the planters so she could garden in the fall and winter seasons. It was beginning to get on towards early evening when they were nearing the time to quit working and studying to start getting ready for bed.
They knew they'd have to have dinner and get ready for bed starting at 5:30 in the evening to be sure of being ready for bed by 7PM or even 7:30 in the evening. They did have to spend an hour eating dinner and using the washroom to get themselves ready for bed that night.
Angel managed to get to bed and be asleep by 7PM though Cory still needed to use the washroom before she could get to bed and fall asleep for the night by 7:30.They were both grateful to actually have a house to sleep in even though they were still using sleeping bags for beds.
